Responsibilities

Review and proofread a wide range of content including articles, reports, marketing materials, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and consistency
Apply editorial guidelines such as AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and specific client standards to maintain uniformity across all content
Conduct thorough fact-checking to verify information accuracy and credibility
Edit content for clarity, tone, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and overall readability while preserving the original voice and intent
Collaborate with writers and content creators to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
Manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously within deadlines using content management systems and word processing tools
Ensure all content aligns with storytelling principles and meets project-specific objectives

Qualifications

Proven experience in proofreading, editing, or content writing with a strong portfolio demonstrating attention to detail
Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, style guides (AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style), and technical writing standards
Strong research skills to verify facts efficiently and accurately
Familiarity with editorial project management tools and content management systems
Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with writers and stakeholders
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Knowledge of creative writing techniques and storytelling principles is a plus
