Cotton Craft is a growing e-commerce baby gifting company seeking an experienced E-Commerce Fulfillment Lead to take ownership of our day-to-day packing, order fulfillment, quality control, inventory organization, and shipping operations.
This is a full-time, hands-on position. This is not a desk-based supervisory role.
The Fulfillment Lead will be expected to learn our complete packing and fulfillment process, supervise and support packing staff, maintain a highly organized fulfillment area, ensure orders are completed accurately and on time, and personally pick and pack customer orders whenever needed.
We are looking for someone who can eventually manage the daily fulfillment workflow independently and ensure that every order leaving our facility meets Cotton Craft's standards.
IMPORTANT — PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
Previous hands-on experience in e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse order fulfillment, order packing/shipping, or a similar professional fulfillment environment is REQUIRED.
Applicants without directly relevant fulfillment, warehouse packing, or shipping experience will NOT be considered.

Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Packing
- Learn and become fully proficient in Cotton Craft's complete order fulfillment and packing process
- Review daily orders and organize the fulfillment workflow
- Pick merchandise accurately according to customer orders
- Personally pack customer orders as part of regular job responsibilities
- Step in as the primary packer whenever an assigned packer is unavailable or additional packing support is required
- Ensure orders are completed within required processing timelines
- Help manage increased order volume during busy periods
Quality Control
Accuracy is one of the most important responsibilities of this position.
The Fulfillment Lead will:
- Perform final quality-control checks before packages are shipped
- Verify the correct product, color, size, style, and variant
- Verify quantities against customer orders
- Ensure gift notes and personalized components are included correctly
- Check products for visible defects, stains, damage, or other quality concerns
- Verify that packaging and presentation meet Cotton Craft standards
- Identify packing errors before orders leave the facility
- Investigate fulfillment mistakes and help prevent repeat errors
Team Leadership
- Oversee and support packing staff during daily fulfillment operations
- Assign and coordinate packing responsibilities when appropriate
- Train new packing employees on Cotton Craft's fulfillment procedures
- Ensure employees follow established packing and quality-control processes
- Correct packing or workflow issues when identified
- Help maintain productivity without sacrificing order accuracy
- Communicate staffing, inventory, or operational concerns to management
- Be capable of running the daily fulfillment workflow with limited supervision
Shipping Responsibilities
- Prepare completed orders for shipment
- Print and organize shipping labels and required order documentation
- Verify shipping labels against completed packages
- Organize outgoing packages by carrier
- Prepare packages for scheduled courier pickups
- Coordinate daily outgoing shipments
- Work with UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other shipping services as needed
- Help identify and resolve routine shipping or fulfillment discrepancies
Inventory & Warehouse Organization
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise
- Help organize products by SKU, category, variant, size, and/or color
- Maintain organized product shelving and storage areas
- Replenish packing stations as needed
- Keep commonly used products and supplies readily accessible
- Monitor packaging and fulfillment supplies
- Notify management when supplies or inventory require replenishment
- Help maintain accurate and organized inventory locations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient fulfillment workspace
Required Qualifications
Candidates MUST have:
- Previous professional experience in e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse fulfillment, order packing/shipping, or a closely related fulfillment operation
- Hands-on experience picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment
- Experience working with multiple products, SKUs, sizes, colors, or product variants
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify order and packing errors
- Ability to follow established procedures consistently
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision
- Dependability and punctuality

This is an active, hands-on fulfillment position.
Candidates must be comfortable:
- Standing and moving for extended periods
- Picking and packing orders throughout the workday
- Reaching and retrieving merchandise from shelving
- Organizing inventory and packing materials
- Moving boxes and fulfillment supplies
- Performing repetitive packing and fulfillment activities
- Carrying out routine warehouse activities throughout the shift
Schedule
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Monday–Friday
This is an in-person position in the Lexington, Kentucky area.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential because daily customer orders must be completed and prepared for carrier pickup within established shipping timelines.
Compensation
$19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on directly relevant fulfillment and leadership experience.
Opportunities for future pay increases may be available based on performance, reliability, increased responsibilities, and the ability to independently manage fulfillment operations.
