Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial operations of our organization. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Duties

Meet and interact with customers in a professional manner.
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software, including QuickBooks.
Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance with governmental accounting regulations.
Generate financial reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial status.
Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all accounting practices.

Skills

Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word software.
Some familiarity with income tax preparation and record-keeping.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software applications.
Basis understanding of tax regulations and governmental accounting practices.
Experience with general ledger accounting and double entry bookkeeping.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports effectively.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
