Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary operations within our nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in dietary management, and a comprehensive understanding of nutrition, dietetics, and patient care. This role involves managing dietary staff, developing care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting optimal nutritional health for our residents.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the dietary department, ensuring adherence to all safety and sanitation standards.
Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate residents' nutritional needs, medical conditions, and preferences.
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and adjust diets accordingly.
Oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality service aligned with residents' health requirements.
Manage dietary budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate diagnostic evaluations such as tube feeding or other specialized nutrition interventions.
Provide health coaching to residents to promote healthy eating habits and overall wellness.
Supervise staff training programs focused on physiology knowledge, dietetics best practices, and care plan execution.

Experience

Proven management experience within assisted living or nursing home environments.
Extensive background in dietary department operations with a focus on nutrition and dietetics.
Demonstrated supervising experience with teams responsible for patient or resident care.
Knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and nutritional science.
Familiarity with budgeting processes within healthcare or food service settings.
Strong understanding of assisted living regulations and compliance standards related to dietary services.
Experience in developing care plans that integrate medical assessments such as diagnostic evaluations or tube feeding protocols.
