No previous ABA experience or RBT certification is required to apply. MonArk provides the training, hands-on practice, and support needed to begin your career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician.
Already an RBT? We would love to talk with you too! Applicants who already hold an active RBT credential start at a minimum of $17.68 per hour.
Pay & Paid TrainingNew Behavior Technicians
New BTs begin at $16.00 per hour while completing MonArk's initial training program.
Our training combines education, hands-on practice, modeling, coaching, and competency development so you are prepared before independently providing services to clients.
Upon successful completion of initial training, your pay increases to $17.00 per hour. Training is expected to be completed within your first 30 days of employment.
After training, you will continue receiving coaching and supervision while working directly 1:1 with clients and progressing toward your RBT credential.
Current Registered Behavior Technicians
If you already hold an active RBT credential, you will not start at the $16.00 training rate.
Current RBTs begin at a minimum of $17.68 per hour, with opportunities to earn up to $23.00 per hour based on experience, demonstrated competency, and advancement within MonArk.
What Is an RBT?
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works directly with clients receiving Applied Behavior Analysis services under the ongoing supervision of a qualified behavior analyst, typically a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
As a BT or RBT, you are one of the team members who spends the most time directly supporting the child.
You may spend your day:
- Teaching a child how to communicate what they want or need
- Building social and play skills
- Teaching independence and daily living skills
- Helping children learn to tolerate waiting, transitions, changes, and new experiences
- Teaching new skills through play, structured activities, and everyday routines
- Collecting data to measure progress
- Following individualized treatment and behavior support plans
- Supporting clients through challenging behaviors while maintaining safety
- Collaborating with your BCBA and other therapy professionals
- Receiving coaching, feedback, and ongoing supervision
- Celebrating progress—both big and small
You are not expected to develop treatment plans independently. Your BCBA and clinical team develop and oversee treatment while teaching, coaching, and supporting you in implementing services successfully.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide direct, individualized ABA therapy to children
- Work 1:1 with clients throughout scheduled therapy sessions
- Implement programs developed by the supervising BCBA
- Build positive and trusting relationships with clients
- Teach communication, social, play, behavioral, and daily living skills
- Assist with developmentally appropriate daily living and personal-care needs when required
- Implement behavior intervention and safety plans as trained and directed
- Collect accurate clinical data throughout sessions
- Complete timely electronic session documentation
- Communicate observations and client progress to the BCBA
- Participate in supervision, coaching, competency assessments, and ongoing training
- Collaborate with members of the client's treatment team
- Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
- Follow MonArk policies and applicable ethical, clinical, and payer requirements
- Remain actively engaged with clients throughout therapy sessions

Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully complete required background and applicable registry checks
- Be able to accurately enter clinical data and session documentation into electronic systems
- Be able to perform the active responsibilities associated with providing direct services to children
For Behavior Technician Applicants
RBT certification is not required at the time of hire.
BT applicants must be willing to:
- Complete MonArk's initial training and competency process
- Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician
- Participate in required supervision and ongoing training
- Receive and apply coaching and performance feedback
MonArk provides the RBT training process and support needed to pursue certification.
For Current RBT Applicants
Applicants hired as RBTs must:
- Hold an active RBT credential in good standing
- Maintain applicable RBT credentialing and supervision requirements
- Complete MonArk's onboarding and demonstrated competency requirements

Compensation at a Glance
New BT – Initial Training:
$16.00/hour while completing MonArk's initial training program.
BT – After Training:

Minimum starting rate of $17.68/hour.
Overall Pay Range:
Up to $23.00/hour based on credentials, experience, demonstrated competency, and advancement within MonArk.
Sign-On Bonus:
$400 after 90 days of employment.
