Full Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and people-focused Associate Director of Human Resources to help lead and execute the organization's HR strategy while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day human resources operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution across the entire employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to leadership while helping foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting through offer acceptance.
Develop and maintain effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
Screen candidates, conduct interviews, coordinate hiring manager interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions.
Manage applicant tracking systems and recruiting metrics.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
Ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Create programs that support employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
Organize employee recognition initiatives, team-building activities, and company events.
Coordinate group lunches, employee appreciation events, and wellness activities.

Benefits & HR Administration

Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, and annual open enrollment.
Serve as a resource for employee benefits questions and concerns.
Maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity.
Assist with compensation, leave administration, and policy interpretation.

Employee Relations

Foster positive employee relations across the organization.
Assist managers and employees in resolving workplace concerns.
Conduct investigations as needed and document findings appropriately.
Support performance management and employee development initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
Monitor employment law changes and recommend policy updates as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
Professional HR certification required:
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, and/or
PHR or SPHR
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding.
Experience administering employee benefits programs.
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
