Full Job Description

CNC Brake Press Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Tyler, TX
Pay: $15.75 - $16.50 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overtime Opportunities Available Overtime may be required based on production needs. Friday and Saturday overtime shifts are typically scheduled from 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Brake Press Operator to join a manufacturing/fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and working in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Power up and safely power down CNC Brake Press equipment.
Call up, load, and run machine programs.
Set up tooling and install necessary tools for production runs.
Monitor tooling condition and manage tooling life.
Operate CNC Brake Press machinery according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Perform quality checks using measuring and monitoring equipment.
Complete required production and quality paperwork accurately and on time.
Maintain production standards while ensuring quality workmanship.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC Brake Press equipment preferred.
Ability to work with digital programming and machine controls.
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection processes.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
Ability to safely work around heavy production equipment.
Must be in good physical condition.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while employed through a temporary agency.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. upon direct full-time hire.
Annual vision screening required.
