Full Job Description

Operations Supervisor needed for our Farmersville location. Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles and pass a drug screen.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt - Hourly

WORK SCHEDULE: Schedule may vary according to the needs of the location or department.

SUMMARY: Supervise workers on the proper procedures of removing waste. Will train workers on procedures for install, and take down of temporary fencing, while practicing safety; observe and direct the proper procedures for inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects with portable toilets. Perform related work independently with minimum supervision, exercising judgment and initiative.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow and apply prescribed safety procedures, and comply with federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.
Follow and apply rules and regulations to proper cleaning of contaminated equipment or areas for re-use, using detergents and solvents, sandblasters, filter pumps and steam cleaners and safety equipment..
Perform inspections and schedule maintenance for septic trucks, delivery trucks, trailers and yard equipment.
Install and take down temporary fencing
Determine routine maintenance and assign tasks to workers, including but not limited to assigning proper tools needed to do a job
Monitor and assess the performance of workers, and submit recommendations for improvements or take corrective action.
Servicing of units, arranging of units according to OSHA requirements.
Install, replace or change parts according to unit specifications.
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in cleaning or repairing units.
Plan, develop and implement safety programs and activities.
Inspect physical conditions of yard, equipment, maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle.
Engage and follow proper procedures of pump operation as instructed.
Communicate with management and others via telephone, or radio.
Promote available company services and products.
Promote clean and safe working conditions
Ensure profitability of company services and products, including developing marketing operations, for the department.
