Responsibilities

Assist the head chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth shift management and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and motivation to foster a collaborative team environment
Manage food production processes, including menu planning, food handling, and catering preparations for banquets and special events
Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
Control inventory levels through effective inventory management and inventory control practices, minimizing waste and optimizing costs

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced culinary environment with a focus on fine dining or hospitality settings
Banquet experience and catering background demonstrating ability to manage large-scale food events
Strong background in food production, food safety procedures, and kitchen management within the food industry
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams as a chef, including shift management and staff development
Experience with inventory control, cost control measures, and restaurant or hospitality management practices
Familiarity with menu planning, food handling regulations, and restaurant experience essential for success in this role
Prior culinary experience in a restaurant or hotel setting that emphasizes high-quality service and presentation
