Full Job Description

Basic Purpose:Work involves maintaining and repairing buildings, machines, convey pumps, pneumatic material handling systems, moderate supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Recommended Qualifications:

Education:High School Diploma / GED Equivalent

Experience: 2+ Years industrial maintenance experience preferred, will train the right candidate.

Special skills/Certifications: Basic computer skills, use of power and hand tools, knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Physical Attributes: Able to lift 50Lb., climb 70ft silo

Authority and Responsibilities:

Have basic understanding of and ability to follow safety procedures.
Maintain paperwork on Work Orders and PM’s (Pro-active and reactive work orders) or projects within as assigned.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on 480V 3 Phase systems, motor starters and control circuits.
Performs maintenance and repair work such as plumbing, masonry, welding carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, ventilation and or heating.
Maintains and repair pneumatic convey systems and tubing, plastics extrusion machinery, material handling equipment, related pump and compressor equipment.
Performs carpentry work in the installation, alteration, repair, and maintenance of building, doors, windows, wood fixtures, and furniture.
Performs M.I.G. and Arc electric welding, light fabrication with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, brazing, maintain, or fabricate parts and equipment.
Make inspections of equipment, machinery, and building accessories and appliances to ensure proper maintenance and repair.
May perform electronic component adjustments and replacement of level switches, motor controls, PLC cards and product feeding equipment.
May make minor repairs to and install wiring as required for new installation.
May work under assigned leader on group team tasks involving construction, maintenance, or repair projects.
May instruct and train other workers.
