THE POSITION

Join the Workers' Compensation Office of Adjudication as a Clerical Assistant 3, where you will have the opportunity to take on exciting new duties providing secretarial support to Workers' Compensation Judges. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role provides clerical and secretarial support to Workers' Compensation Judges by preparing case materials, organizing hearing activities, and maintaining accurate records. The work ensures that hearings and case events move efficiently and follow established procedures. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

Hearing Scheduling: Arrange hearing events and review case information in the WCAIS system
Case Preparation: Gather documents, organize files, and prepare courtrooms for in-person or virtual hearings
Document Processing: Scan, index, verify, and finalize documents, transcripts, and decisions in WCAIS
Correspondence Tasks: Prepare letters, reports, and memorandums while proofreading for accuracy
Public Communication: Respond to phone and email inquiries and provide information according to policy
Record Maintenance: Maintain diaries, verify reports, and purge closed case files according to procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Williamsport. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
