Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to ophthalmologists and assist in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

We are looking for full-time candidates only, the shift is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:50AM-5:50PM.

Duties

Conduct patient intake, including gathering medical history and performing initial assessments.
Measure and record required data accurately.
Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
Utilize EMR systems such as Epic and Modernizing Medicine for documentation of patient information and medical records.
Collaborate with the ophthalmology team to ensure efficient workflow.
Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding/billing practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and optical experience is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience with EMR systems.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
