Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Role

You will work directly with attorneys and our paralegal team supporting the full lifecycle of fiduciary matters, including:

Public Administrator and court-appointed fiduciary matters — intake, asset marshaling, institutional correspondence, and case administration for estates and protected persons
Guardianships and conservatorships — petitions, inventories, conservator financial plans, annual guardian and conservator reports, and status reports (JDF forms and custom pleadings)
Trust administration — funding, accountings, beneficiary communications, and distribution support
Estate administration — probate filings, creditor claims, inventories, accountings, and closing documents
Court filing and deadline management — e-filing in Jefferson County District Court, Denver Probate Court, and other metro-area courts; tracking statutory deadlines across a large active caseload
Fiduciary accounting support — reconciling financial statements, preparing accountings, and assisting with pre-bill review

What We're Looking For

5+ years of paralegal experience, with substantial work in Colorado probate, trust, and estate matters (guardianship/conservatorship experience strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of Colorado probate procedure, JDF forms, and the Colorado Courts E-Filing system
Strong financial aptitude — comfort reading bank, brokerage, and retirement account statements and preparing or supporting fiduciary accountings
Exceptional organization and deadline management across many simultaneous matters
Clear, professional written communication with courts, financial institutions, care facilities, family members, and beneficiaries
Discretion and sound judgment — much of our work involves vulnerable adults and sensitive family circumstances
Experience with Clio (or comparable practice management software) and QuickBooks a plus
Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
