5+ years of recent critical care or ED RN trauma experience strongly preferred. 3+ years of recent Trauma service program experience preferred.

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Manager of Trauma Services to lead and coordinate the Level III Trauma Program at Longs Peak Hospital. This role is ideal for an RN with trauma program experience who is passionate about improving trauma care through clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, operational leadership, and continuous quality improvement. The Trauma Program Manager partners closely with the Trauma Medical Director, physicians, nursing, and hospital leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality trauma care while maintaining compliance with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) trauma center standards. As part of the UCHealth Community Division Trauma Service Line and the broader UCHealth Trauma System, this leader will collaborate with trauma professionals across the organization to advance standardized practices, share best practices, support system-wide initiatives, and represent Longs Peak Hospital in regional and system trauma activities.

Provide operational leadership for the trauma program, including oversight of trauma performance improvement, trauma registry operations, injury prevention, education, outreach, and regulatory readiness.
Collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director and multidisciplinary teams to monitor patient outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable quality improvement initiatives that enhance trauma care across the continuum.
Lead the program's ongoing compliance with Colorado trauma designation standards through policy development, program evaluation, survey readiness, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Oversee the operational and financial management of the trauma program, including budget planning, resource utilization, productivity, strategic initiatives, and achievement of departmental goals.
Utilize trauma registry data, quality metrics, and operational performance indicators to identify trends, evaluate program performance, and communicate outcomes to hospital leadership and trauma committees.
Partner with trauma leaders throughout the UCHealth Community Division and UCHealth Trauma System to promote collaboration, standardization, innovation, and the advancement of trauma care while representing Longs Peak Hospital in regional and system-wide initiatives.
Serve as the trauma program resource across the organization by collaborating with clinical departments, physicians, EMS, and community partners to promote best practices, support trauma education, and strengthen relationships throughout the regional trauma system.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting staff development and advancing trauma program excellence.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay: $89,960 - $143,915 / year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
In collaboration with the medical director and organizational leaders will coordinate trauma care and systems and oversee the regulatory compliance and performance of the program as aligned with the institution's goals.

Responsibilities:

Assists with developing departmental budget, goals and standards which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the service line and organization.
Maintains knowledge of all regulatory requirements and aligns the program for compliance based on institutional objectives that includes all related components in the service line continuum.
Maintains a quality program that effectively improves the performance of physicians, staff, processes, and systems related to trauma care that is aligned with national standards. Participates on and leads multidisciplinary teams.
Manages staff including performance, development, satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN with BSN in progress.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
3 years of relevant experience in acute care.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
