Full Job Description

Are you someone who loves numbers? Do you also love helping people? Are you great at explaining complicated concepts like taxes? Do you like a mix of customer service and tax work? Are you tired of the big companies that make you feel like a number? If so, we might have a job for you.

Poppins Payroll is hiring a Payroll Support Specialist, who will help our customers with issues related to their payroll and taxes. You will also be responsible for setting up client tax accounts and will help with quarterly tax filings. You will work as part of an amazing team of dedicated and kind people.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

· Answer client inquiries via email and live phone.

· Explain payroll, payroll taxes, our services, and our site to clients and prospective clients.

· Complete and submit online applications and reports to obtain client FEINs, and set up state tax accounts.

· Assist in filing tax reports.

· Meet daily (virtually or in-person) with the team to discuss client services and company updates and improvements.

· Communicate with state and federal agencies about client accounts.

What you get:

This job pays $60,000 per year. We cover 75% of our employees' health and dental premiums. You can also participate in our 401K plan, where we match 50% of your contributions up to a maximum of 5% of your salary. You get all the regular holidays off, sick leave, and 3 weeks PTO. You will be able to split time between working from home and working from the office. We have a cool office in downtown Boulder with parking and easy access to Pearl Street. We hook you up with a laptop and monitor; so, it’s easy to move from office to home office. Whether or not you’re in the office, we do a daily team Zoom (M-F) at 9 am.
