Full Job Description

Director of Development & Design — Imprint Digital

[Loveland, CO In Office/HYBRID] · Full-time · [$80,000 + benefits]

We're a results-obsessed digital marketing agency, and we're hiring the person who will own how everything we build looks, performs, and ships. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who lives at the intersection of design taste and engineering rigor, and who is genuinely excited about building with AI rather than around it.

What you'll own

The full web development and design function: client sites, our own properties, landing pages, and the systems that make them fast to produce and easy to maintain.
Architecture and delivery across our stack. You'll set the standards, not just follow them.
Design quality from first concept to shipped pixel. Brand consistency, conversion-focused UX, and a bar that makes prospects trust us before they ever talk to us.
Mentoring and leveling up developers and designers as the team grows.

Our stack (you should be fluent in most of this)

WordPress for a large book of client sites. Custom themes, performance tuning, and clean handoffs, not page-builder bloat.
Storyblok as our headless CMS, paired with Next.js front ends deployed on Netlify (ISR, edge functions, the works). Our flagship imprint-digital.com runs on exactly this.
Claude and Claude Code woven through how we work. We run AI agents, custom MCP integrations, and automated pipelines across the business. We don't dabble in AI, we operate on it, and we want a leader who can push that further.
Modern front-end fundamentals: TypeScript, React, Tailwind-era CSS, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and SEO-aware builds (our growth depends on sites that rank).
Bonus points for GoHighLevel, Google Tag Manager / GA4 tracking implementation, and comfort wiring tools together via APIs.

Who you are

You've shipped real work in both WordPress and headless/Jamstack worlds and can speak to when each is the right call.
You have genuine design chops. You can take a brand and make it feel premium, not just functional.
You're an AI-forward builder. You reach for Claude to move faster, automate the boring parts, and raise quality, and you can teach a team to do the same.
You lead by doing. You're equally comfortable in a code review, a design critique, and a client conversation.
You care about outcomes. Page speed, conversion rate, and rankings are how you keep score.
