Full Job Description

Neurologist – Locum Tenens
Location: Longview, WA
Pay Rate: $240–$260/hour | $520/night call shift | $315.25/hour call-back (Flexible and negotiable based on experience)
Assignment Type: Onsite, Ongoing Locum Coverage (Start: November, or as soon as credentialed)
Schedule: 1 Week/Month | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (M-F) | Call Coverage Throughout the Week

About the Opportunity
A hospital system is seeking a Board Certified Neurologist to provide coverage for a combined inpatient/outpatient setting in Longview, WA. This is an onsite assignment, set to start in November or as soon as credentialing is complete, with a 1-week-per-month schedule.

The role involves treating patients ages 17+, with an average of 16 patients per day. Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, and EEG/EMG procedures, with in-house consults conducted while onsite. Call/text volume is typically 0-4 per 24-hour period and is managed by phone. The physician will be supported by additional staff, including 1.5 FTE MD and 1.0 NP.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient neurology coverage
See an average of 16 patients per day (ages 17+)
Perform rounding and admissions
Perform EEG and EMG procedures
Conduct in-house consults while onsite
Provide call coverage throughout the week (0-4 calls/texts per 24hr period, managed by phone)
Collaborate with supporting staff, including 1.5 FTE MD and 1.0 NP

Requirements

Board Certified in Neurology required
Active Washington state license required, or IMLC accepted
Clinical activity from the past 24 months required (100 cases)
Clean background required
COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
EPIC EMR experience required

Schedule Details

1 week per month, onsite
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Call coverage throughout the week
Start date: November, or as soon as credentialed
