Full Job Description

Job Description Summary

This job requires the operation of heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, track hoes, dozers, horizontal impactors, impact crushers and cone/jaw crushers. This job requires the operation of equipment used to move materials.

Essential Functions

Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to policies and procedures.

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.

Clean heavy equipment as scheduled.

Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.

Advise the supervisor/shop of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.

Participate in routine maintenance.

Responsible for the daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes cleaning and removing of trash.

Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.

Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property.

Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.

Will be assigned to a road crew if plant is not running.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 1-year of heavy equipment experience, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls.

Prior plumbing maintenance experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum 1-year welding experience.

Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write.

Complete and abide by all safety training and other provided training.

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license with a minimum 3 years driving experience and eligible to be added to company’s driving insurance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Hours of work are determined by the supervisor based on deadlines set by the client.
