In this energetic role, you will work hands-on with skilled tradespeople to support a variety of building projects, from residential renovations to commercial developments. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, ensuring all materials and tools are ready for daily tasks.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction.
Help with the installation of rebar, stud framing, tile/masonry work, and other structural components according to specifications.
Support concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and surface treatments such as plastering, and caulking to achieve smooth finishes.
Read and interpret construction plans, manufacturer instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with demolition, restoration, renovation activities, and installation of flooring and tile laying as needed.
Experience
Previous experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential for understanding project details.
Hands-on knowledge of tile work, framing, general renovations, concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete cutting, and finishing techniques is a strong advantage.
Experience operating heavy machinery or power tools safely on construction projects is desirable.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
A background in carpentry—such as frame carpentry or trim carpentry—and tile/masonry work will support your success in this role.
