Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine (MSIM) is seeking a Family Practice or Adult Primary Care Provider (FNP / APRN-CNP - NM) for a PT or FT position at 20 - 40 hours per week.
Mountain Spirit is a dynamic team featuring dozens of integrative healthcare professionals. Together we offer quality modern primary care medicine (Family Nurse Practitioners and a Certified Nurse Midwife / Women's Health specialist offering annual exams, prescriptions, sick visits, wellness coaching, and nonsurgical in-office procedures including implantable contraception). Plus natural / traditional medicine (Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Naprapathy, Homeopathy, herbal medicines), manual therapy modalities (including Medical Massage, Occupational / Physical Therapy), plus Colon Hydrotherapy, Medical Spa aesthetic treatments (Cosmetic Acupuncture, SkinPen microneedling collagen induction therapy) and much more. We currently welcome most NM-based health insurance plans (BCBS ofNM, Presbyterian, and CIGNA), and Centennial Care from BCBS / Presbyterian. We also offer reasonable self-pay fee schedules for the uninsured / underinsured. We have chosen to remain opted-out of Medicare at this time, and for the foreseeable future.
Our Family Nurse Practitioners:
- Provide quality patient-centered Primary Care to individuals, couples and families, typically age 1 and older, through the exploration of individualized plans for personal health, resilience and wellness.
- Partner with patients to manage chronic diseases using an integrative approach that combines nutritional, lifestyle and pharmacologic methods with complementary and traditional medicine providers, focusing on patient-centered values and goals.
- See an average of just 2 patients per hour, reserving sufficient time to provide meaningful interventions for optimum treatment outcomes, while maintaining quality of life for both the practitioner and the patient.
The successful candidate:
- Has significant Primary Care &/or Nursing experience, skills and/or training with most age groups; and prefers to focus their career on Primary Care Medicine.
- Is dedicated to collaborating with patients to support the resolution of symptoms, the management of chronic medical conditions, and the prevention of health issues through an integrated approach to wellness.
- Enjoys working with and serving the full diversity of our community with mutual respect for all. Embodies empathy for patients struggling with life imbalances, including substance use / abuse, financial challenges, mental health challenges (especially since onset of the global pandemic), etc.
- Is eager to work collectively with a team of Natural / Functional Medicine Practitioners (DOMs, DNs, OT/PTs, LMTs, CHTs, NDs, etc)
- Is interested in long-term work, and committed to providing a full 90 days notice prior to reducing hours or leaving practice at our Clinics
Professional Requirements:
*Current New Mexico Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
*Current DEA and New Mexico Controlled Substance Pharmacy License
*National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Adult Nurse Practitioner
The following characteristics are helpful, but NOT required:
· Knowledge about and/or experience in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy
· Experience with receiving &/or providing Integrative Medicine, Holistic Healing and/or Functional Medicine (including traditional herbal/vitamin therapies for common health conditions)
Competitive Pay Scale:
· Competitive Pay compared to other local Primary Care positions, with room for advancement based on quality care (those receiving positive feedback and consistently full schedules)
· Compensation is based on Experience; and FNPs with an active local patient base earn our highest pay scale.
- Up to $65 per hour plus full benefit package, and potential for profit sharing
Permanent Full-Time Benefits (30 hours per week or more):

Company pays 70% of Platinum-Level Plan. For the 2026 plan year, the BCBS HMO Plan has a deductible as low as $350! (Available at 3 Months of FT Employment).
· Dental and Vision Plan:
Company pays 70% of Delta Dental Preferred Plan and VSP Premium Plan (Option Available at 3 Months of Permanent Employment)
· 401(k) Match:
Dollar for Dollar, up to 6% of earnings (Option Available at 6 Months of FT Employment)
· Bonus / Profit Sharing: Variable based on annual clinic success.
· Annual Leave / Paid Time Off: 2 weeks annual leave (0.04 hour PTO per hour worked) at start, increases to 5 weeks PTO (0.10 per hour worked) starts at 4 years FT work
