Position Overview

We’re not looking for someone to just “price jobs.”

We’re looking for someone who can take incomplete, messy requests and turn them into clear, actionable work.

Our customers don’t always know exactly what they need. Plans are often missing. Details are vague.
Your job is to figure it out, make smart decisions, and move the job forward.

You will own the process of turning incoming requests (calls, emails, and quote inquiries) into clear scopes, accurate quotes, and ready-to-execute jobs for our Operations team.

Primary Purpose

Turn leads and requests into scheduled, ready-to-run jobs.

You will:

Interpret customer needs (even when they’re unclear)
Create accurate quotes and traffic control plans
Follow up consistently to move work forward
Prepare complete job handoffs so Operations can execute without confusion

What You’ll Actually Do Daily

Turn customer requests (calls, emails, rough descriptions) into quotes
Make educated decisions when details are missing
Ask the right questions to fill gaps without waiting for perfect information
Answer phones and assist customers with professionalism and clarity
Support front shop activities as needed (customer pickups, light shop support)

Weekly

Maintain accurate job and quote tracking
Systematically follow up on open quotes to move them toward approval
Track and note reasons for won/lost work to improve future quoting

Monthly

Prepare and submit INDOT and other public bid quotes

As Needed

Coordinate orders (custom orders to sign shop, materials orders to vendors)
Assemble clear and complete job handoffs to Operations

Qualifications Required

Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Ability to work with incomplete information and still move forward
Clear communication skills (phone, email, internal coordination)
Organized with consistent follow-through

Preferred

Experience in construction, utilities, traffic control, logistics, or estimating
Familiarity with plan drawing tools or willingness to learn
Experience with CRM/project tracking tools

Compensation & Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary range starting at $55,000, with more depending on experience

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
