Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are a friendly, growing local dental office seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. If you enjoy working in a positive, fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing outstanding patient care, we'd love to meet you!

Duties

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor vital signs and medical history documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
Provide dental education to patients about procedures, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure.
Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments.
Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic EMR systems.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient privacy and confidentiality.
Ability to perform dental X-rays accurately and safely.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures.
Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient service standards.
