Full Job Description

Job Overview

Quigley & Associates is seeking a team member to support our tax and accounting department. This team member will work directly with firm partners and staff to provide tax and consulting services to individual and small business clients.

About the Role:

Preparation of tax returns for individuals, C & S-corporations, partnerships
Review and monitor monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliations/adjustments for clients in various accounting programs (mostly QuickBooks)
Collaborate with firm colleagues to provide business and individual tax planning services
Conduct basic and complex tax research, as necessary
Work with tax agencies to resolve tax issues
Knowledge of payroll, sales taxes, and payroll taxes
Full Time In-Person
Need to have a desire to grow in the profession and learn in a hands-on environment

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
3+ years of recent experience in tax preparation
CPA license not required but preferred
QuickBooks Desktop and Online experience
Additional experience with software such as UltraTax, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to navigate various technology applications and hardware
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while adhering to various deadlines and time pressures
Competency in verbal and written communication
High standard of professional ethics and judgement
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and hands-on learning
A team player with the ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and clients
