Full Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Administrative Assistant to join our medical billing team. This position will assist with day-to-day billing and administrative functions, including patient account follow-up, payment posting, collections preparation, and general office support.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with patient accounts, handling confidential information, communicating professionally with patients and staff, and staying organized while managing multiple tasks.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in where-ever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform patient outreach by phone and/or other approved communication methods regarding account questions.
Review patient accounts and assist with basic billing functions.
Assist in posting patient and insurance payments accurately and timely.
Review accounts for outstanding balances or credits and follow up as needed.
Prepare and turn appropriate patient balances over to collections.
Assist with account corrections and basic billing research.
Process and organize billing-related paperwork and correspondence.
Courier documents, payments, supplies, and other items as needed.
Assist with scanning, filing, copying, and other general administrative duties.
Maintain accurate and organized billing records.
Handle patient financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Communicate with front-office staff and the billing team regarding patient accounts.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
