Full Job Description

Fortress Bank continues to offer Teller opportunities as we grow within our communities and as our team members move up into other roles. At the Bank, a Teller is a key entry-level position in our retail banking department. In this role, you will be the face of our bank, building relationships with our valued customers and ensuring they have a positive banking experience each time they visit.

Looking at the skills and experience required for success in this role – and in others at the Bank in the future – this is not a “first job” sort of position. You’ll need to bring some work experience and solid skills with you to be successful.

If you have at least 1 year of experience offering consistently positive customer service in a professional work environment and working accurately with cash and numbers – even without a POS or machine – this may be an opportunity for you.

Be sure your experience and skills are clear in your resume or in a cover letter.

What you’ll do:

Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere.
Actively listen to customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or referrals.
Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate transaction processing, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, etc.
Proactively address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with empathy and understanding.
Educate customers on available bank products and services, highlighting their benefits and value.
Maintain a balanced cash drawer and adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
