Join a Skilled Sewer & Water Team That’s Been Together for Decades

At Concordia Contracting LLC, we’ve been building Michigan’s underground since 1985 — installing sanitary sewers, storm drains, and water mains for new developments across Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw Counties.

We’re a family-run company with crews that have been together for years.

Position Overview

We’re hiring an experienced Pipe Layer / Laborer to join our sewer and water crew.
If you’ve worked in underground utility installation, can lay pipe to grade, and know how to work efficiently with operators and foremen, you’ll fit right in here.

You’ll help install sanitary, storm, and water systems for site developments throughout southeast Michigan.

Responsibilities

Lay and align PVC, concrete, and ductile iron pipe for sanitary, storm, and water-main systems
Set and check grade, laser, and trench box for proper line and elevation
Install fittings, valves, hydrants, and service connections per plan specifications
Assist with rigging, hand signals, and trench safety setup
Backfill trenches, compact, and restore surfaces
Follow all site safety procedures — safety is non-negotiable

Qualifications

2+ years of underground pipe-laying experience (sanitary, storm, or water main)
Ability to read plans, laser, and line grades
Experience working with excavator operators and trench crews
Proficient with hand and power tools used in underground utility work
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL a plus)
Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors year-round
