Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and image quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology while making a meaningful difference in patients’ health journeys.

Monday to Friday dayshift with no call and no weekends!

Duties

Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging results
Operate MRI scanners and associated medical imaging equipment with precision, following established safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
Ensure all images are accurately acquired, properly labeled, and stored securely within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for easy retrieval and review
Maintain strict adherence to patient safety regulations, aseptic techniques, and equipment safety procedures to prevent errors or accidents during imaging procedures
Assist with other diagnostic radiology tasks such as IV insertion, physiology assessments, and supporting the use of medical terminology in documentation
Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to optimize imaging protocols and ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes

Skills

Proficiency in operating MRI scanners
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiology principles to accurately interpret patient needs and imaging requirements
Ability to perform IV insertions safely while maintaining aseptic technique and patient comfort
Excellent understanding of medical imaging procedures including image acquisition for patient care and diagnostic evaluation
Knowledge of PACS systems for storing, retrieving, and managing medical images efficiently
Commitment to patient safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to uphold the highest standards of care
Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond effectively in emergency situations involving patients undergoing imaging procedures
