Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Full-time
Monday - Friday (no weekends,rotating holidays as needed)
3 AM - 11 AM

What You Will Do

Prepares and processes surgical/autopsy specimens (embedding, cutting, staining, frozen sections) for microscopic examination
Performs routine and specialized histology procedures, including immunostains and special stains
Assists pathologists with gross examinations and specimen collection as needed
Maintains accurate specimen, slide, block, and QC/QA records; participates in quality and compliance activities
Manages lab inventory, prepares solutions/stains, and follows safety and chemical handling protocols
Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and LIS system; ensures clean, organized work environment
Supports workflow efficiency, communication, productivity, and department standards while maintaining confidentiality

What We Are Looking For

Certification as Histologic Technician by ASCP Board or eligible. Must obtain within six months from date of hire.\
Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Must have successfully completed an approved program in histological technique or equivalent.
