Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Follow-Up Representative

Position Summary

We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Follow-Up Representative to join our Macon, GA office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and bring strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Process physician insurance billing and accounts receivable follow-up.
Work medical insurance denials and appeals efficiently.
Review and interpret CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Research and analyze patient accounts and payer policies.
Provide professional, courteous telephone service to patients and clients.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other billing regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional billing team members.
Perform other duties related to medical billing and A/R as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in physician or medical billing and A/R follow-up.
Strong understanding of medical insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, HMO, PPO, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto carriers.
Proficient computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
