Are you ready to put your leadership to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems Sector wants you to join our Team as Quality Control Manager/Chief Inspector based at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, GA.
The QC Manager/Chief Inspector is the final authority for ensuring that the maintenance performed at operating locations is in accordance with the airworthiness standards of the Federal Aviation Administration, DCMA INST 8210.1, and company policies.
The QC Manager shall be certified under 14 CFR Part 65 (A&P Mechanic).
Plans, implements and directs inspection standards, methods and procedures utilized , and complying with applicable CFR's and manufacturer's requirements.
Projects the number and type of qualified personnel to properly and adequately perform inspection functions and is responsible for the selection, administration and manage an inspection team.
Manages the currency of aircraft technical publications and calibration system.
Maintains a training program for mechanics, inspectors, and related maintenance personnel.
Review the aircraft and engine logbooks from maintenance checks and lists all pilot reports and deferred maintenance items on appropriate log entries.
Monitor all aircraft inspection record forms, which are utilized in aircraft checks to ensure proper completion of all entries.
Required to inspect production aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications.
Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft.
Performs preflight and postflight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft. Inspects, adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft.
Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
This position operates on a day-to-day basis from Robins AFB, GA (the E-11A Main Operating Base or MOB) delivering E-11A aircraft maintenance to support daily USAF aircrew flight operations to include deploying to support periodic offsite CONUS & OCONUS military exercises.
In addition, the position requires the short-notice ability to deploy OCONUS / internationally for periods of up to 180 days to support BACN E-11A maintenance operations when/where the USAF customer requirements dictate.

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 9 years of Transport/Airlift category maintenance experience including Aircraft Inspector and Quality Leadership Positions
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
Possess or able to quickly obtain a DoD secret security clearance.
Line maintenance environment experience.
Possess or ability to obtain US Passport
Military/commercial large aircraft maintenance experience to include flight line maintenance expertise.
Compliance with US Gov’t/Department of Defense medical and deployment requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Northrop Grumman Corporate Travel Card.
Travel/Deployment up to 50%, various shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Inspection Authorization.
Experience working in a US Air Force aircraft maintenance environment.
DoD maintenance program experience [USAF maintenance highly preferred]
Bombardier BD-700 commercial derivative aircraft [CDA] and or Global XRS and Global 6000, USAF E-11A aircraft experience
Rolls-Royce BR-710 experience
Versed in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $142,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
