Rush Wisconsin Facilities & Grounds ManagerPosition Summary
Rush Wisconsin Soccer Club is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and improvement of the Highway Q Training Complex and related club facilities. This individual plays a vital role in ensuring that our players, coaches, and families have a safe, professional, and welcoming environment throughout the year.
The Facilities & Grounds Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and club staff to maintain fields, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Compensation: The position offers total annual compensation of $20,000, paid biweekly in accordance with the company’s payroll schedule. Estimated Time Commitment: 10–15 hours per week on average, with decreased hours during winter months.

Primary ResponsibilitiesFacility Operations
- Maintain the Highway Q Training Complex, shelter, storage buildings, and surrounding grounds.
- Ensure facilities are safe, clean, and prepared for daily training, games, camps, and special events.
- Responsible for field preparation, including mowing, lining with Turf Tank Robot, goal setup, and general field maintenance.
- Oversee and manage irrigation, lighting, and other facility systems, coordinating repairs and service when needed.
- Maintain storage areas and ensure club property is secure.
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Maintain club vehicles, maintenance equipment, and field equipment.
- Track inventory and recommend replacement or repair of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance schedules, and facility assets.
- Manage key distribution and facility access records.
Volunteer & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate volunteers for facility improvement and maintenance projects.
- Obtain bids and work with qualified contractors and service providers when appropriate.
- Track volunteer hours and provide regular updates to the Executive Director regarding ongoing projects and facility needs.
- Coordinate all facility-related expenditures with the Executive Director prior to purchase.
Event & Program Support
- Prepare facilities for tournaments, Opening Day, Closing Day, camps, and other club events.
- Support sponsorship fulfillment efforts, including placement and maintenance of sponsor signage.
- Coordinate field availability and facility scheduling with club staff.
Strategic Facility Development
- Assist the Executive Director in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
- Contribute to long-term facility development initiatives that support the growth of Rush Wisconsin.
QualificationsRequirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support club events and facility needs.
- Successful completion of a background check and applicable youth sports safety requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Facility maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, construction, or related experience.
- Experience operating and maintaining mowing and maintenance equipment.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, vendors, or contractors.
- Basic understanding of irrigation, lighting, and facility systems.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
