Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of various industrial equipment, including CNC machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools, while managing materials flow within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with precision measurement instruments, and experience interpreting technical drawings and production documents. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment committed to safety standards and continuous improvement.

Duties

Operate a variety of manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts.
Utilize precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move raw materials, work-in-progress parts, and finished products within the facility.
Set up and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as Fanuc CNC controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CAM/CNC programming software.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery; identify mechanical issues through troubleshooting techniques and escalate repairs when necessary.
Assist in tooling setup, changeovers, and calibration to optimize production runs.
Ensure quality control by inspecting parts for defects, verifying measurements against specifications, and maintaining documentation of inspection results.
Support packaging operations and prepare finished goods for shipment according to manufacturing standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards in production.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC machining centers, stamping presses, or similar industrial equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks or similar design software is preferred.
Hands-on knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and fabrication techniques.
Experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and utilize precision measuring instruments effectively.
Prior warehouse experience involving materials handling with forklifts or other lifting equipment is advantageous.
Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments combined with the ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols.
Basic proficiency in hand tools, assembly line processes, packaging procedures, and tooling management.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
