Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for individuals across various care settings. Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, long-term care, assisted living, hospice, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
Assist with medical documentation and ensure accurate updates of medical records while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
Operate medical equipment like phlebotomy tools for blood draws or DME (durable medical equipment) as needed for patient treatment plans.
Support patients in inpatient, outpatient, or home & community care environments by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs.

Experience

Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management.
Experience with critical care settings like ICU or emergency medicine enhances your ability to respond effectively in urgent situations.
Knowledge of physiology and anatomy fundamentals to assist with patient assessments and vital signs monitoring accurately.
Familiarity with specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, infectious disease care, or post-acute/sub-acute care is advantageous.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like Phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures compliance with patient privacy standards while delivering high-quality care.
