SUMMARY
The Product Manager drives portfolio growth by identifying market opportunities and developing technology and platform strategies that enable innovative solutions for OEM customers. This role owns the lifecycle of assigned product portfolios—from market discovery and customer engagement through development, launch, and commercialization.
Working in a value-added contract manufacturing environment, the Product Manager partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to translate customer needs into scalable solutions, guide new product introductions, and optimize portfolio performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own and manage the P&L performance of assigned product portfolios, driving revenue growth, margin performance, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and execute product and capability strategies that enable scalable platforms for OEM customer solutions.
- Define and maintain product and technology roadmaps aligned with customer needs, market trends, and company capabilities.
- Analyze portfolio performance, pricing structures, and cost drivers to optimize value creation and profitability.
Market & Customer Engagement
- Identify new market opportunities through strategic customer engagement, voice‑of‑customer (VOC) insights, and market analysis.
- Partner with Sales to cultivate and lead strategic relationships with existing and prospective OEM customers.
- Translate customer application requirements into platform and capability development opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to inform strategic direction.
New Product Development & Commercialization
- Manage the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline, ensuring successful launch of new products and solutions that meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to define product requirements, scope development initiatives, and ensure manufacturability.
- Lead commercialization strategies and coordinate successful product launches with cross‑functional teams.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Provide cross‑functional leadership and alignment across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
- Support forecasting, capacity planning, lead‑time optimization, and operational readiness for portfolio growth.
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, operational capabilities, and customer commitments.
Portfolio Optimization & Business Growth
- Analyze portfolio dynamics to develop pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and value engineering opportunities.
- Negotiate portfolio pricing and support commercial strategy for OEM partnerships.
- Support business development activities by researching and analyzing markets, customers, competitors, and technologies.
- Develop and drive business plans and go‑to‑market strategies for new capabilities and platform expansion.
Marketing & Product Enablement
- Provide strategic direction and content for marketing initiatives supporting assigned portfolios.
- Develop product positioning, presentations, samples, and collateral supporting customer engagement.
- Provide internal training on product applications, technologies, and capabilities.
Strategic Initiatives
- Provide input into technology and innovation roadmaps in collaboration with Engineering leadership.
- Support evaluation of acquisition opportunities, capability expansion, and integration activities when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Business Development, or related roles in manufacturing or technology-driven industries.
- Experience managing product portfolios, pricing strategy, or P&L ownership.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with new product development and product commercialization processes.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced business or technical degree.
- Experience working with medical device OEMs or highly regulated industries.
- Experience with contract manufacturing or highly engineered component manufacturing environments.
- Experience with value engineering, cost optimization, and portfolio strategy.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to understand and work with financial reports and data (e.g., P&L statements, Cost Workups, Pricing, Gross Margin, and other product analysis metrics)
- Ability to collect data and construct portfolio analysis models, analytics, and reports.
JOB SKILLS
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experienced with Windows PC-based systems and tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Self-motivated and aggressive in developing the product line and target market to achieve sales growth.
- Able to function effectively in a hectic environment and willing to work hours (travel) outside the norm.
- Must have exceptional work ethic and the ability to manage and maximize time and company resources (e.g., sales, engineering, capital, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. SALARY INFORMATION:
According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $140,000 and $180,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol Critical Medical Technologies considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
Certain roles are also eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases and annual bonus. These awards are discretionary and allocated based on individual and company performance. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 11 scheduled paid holidays, up to 80 hours of paid time off and sick paid time off.
