Full Job Description

Monica Patrick Orthodontics is growing and in order to thrive we are looking to fill some very important shoes! We are looking for a front desk receptionist that is not only experienced in administration and customer service but is also someone who is dedicated to the care and happiness of our patients. Although orthodontic or dental experience is not required, it is preferred, but of course we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Greeting patients and families in a friendly, professional manner
Checking patients in and out for appointments
Ensure patients and families are comfortable while in the office
Answering phones and responding to emails and text messages
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Coordinating referrals with general dental offices
Collecting payments and posting them to a patient’s account
Reviewing treatment contracts and financial agreements with patients
Reviewing accounts receivable and contacting patients regarding balances
Maintaining patient charts and updating demographic information
Scanning, filling, organizing paperwork
Assisting with appointment flow and keeping the schedule running smoothly
Helping manage office supplies and front office organization
Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming office environment
Social media marking posting – require 5 posts per month
Possibly calling insurance companies to verify benefits if help is needed with that
Other tasks as assigned

Required/Preferred Experience:

Orthodontic/ Dental experience: 1 year (preferred, but not required)
Customer service: 1 year
Administrative skills: 1 year
Social media marketing skills: 1 year
