Description

LifeHealth, a federal government contractor, is seeking Medical Records Technicians for the Wisconsin Army National Guard (WIARNG) Health Systems Services (HSS) office..

Location:

WIARNG Joint Force Headquarters

2400 Wright St

Madison, WI 53704

Monday - Friday 0630-1700

Travel:

Periodic travel to Volk Field, Camp Douglas, WI for SRP events

Job Description:

Ensure all medical documentation received from the Soldier and/or their medical team is received, scanned, and filed and placed in appropriate electronic record, MEDCHART, in addition to the Soldier’s hard copy record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain Soldier medical records in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 40-66 Medical Record Administration and Healthcare Documentation.

Provide Records Custodian or delegate with all relevant medical/dental documentation.

Upload medical documents of case managed Soldiers into Health Readiness Record (HRR).

Stamp all medical documents for verification after uploading.

Log all medical documents received for case management and forward documents to Records Custodian within 3 business days. No more than 10 late document submissions per month; instances of missing/late documentation corrected within one workday of discovery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in any healthcare setting, previous VA or military experience preferred.
Must be a US Citizen.
Highly organized, self-directed professional with the ability to work in a high-volume environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude.
Computer proficient; EMR experience preferred but not required
Must be able to obtain a minimum National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) with Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check
- Able to favorably pass a preliminary background check
- Able to gain required access to facilities, information systems, and/or information subject to the security procedures set forth

Physical Demands:

Position requires frequent standing or walking. Ability to access files, supplies and equipment. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

Work Environment:

Work environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, chemicals etc. Subject to frequent interruptions.

H&W: This position receives H&W up to 40 hours/week
