YOUR ROLE: SPARKING JOY & ENGAGEMENT
Working closely with the Director of Life Enrichment, you will help bring our activity calendar to life. Whether it’s an on-site celebration or a community outing, you are the catalyst for a vibrant resident experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Inspire: Implement exciting recreational, leisure, and educational programs tailored to resident preferences.
- Community Connections: Support on-site events and safely transport residents on fun community outings using company vehicles.
- Be the "Go-To": Assist with preparing monthly calendars, updating activity boards, and delivering mail/newspapers.
- Collaborate: Partner with nursing and social services to ensure every resident has the opportunity to participate.
- Document Success: Maintain accurate attendance records and participate in team meetings to improve our programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Schedule: 8:00 am -4:30pm Tuesday thru Saturday, also Sunday thru Thursday 8:00-4:30 that way there are activities 7 days a week. Occasionally an evening for outdoor summer concerts. (schedule is flexible but with in these hours)
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: A valid driver’s license is a must (for those fun outings!).
- Experience: Previous experience with older adults or in a healthcare setting is a plus, but a heart for service is what matters most.
- Communication: Ability to communicate professionally and warmly in English.
- Attributes: You are patient, compassionate, and able to follow a schedule while staying flexible to resident needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, and stay active for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Comfort working in a healthcare environment with both indoor and occasional outdoor activity settings.
