Full Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager, the Production Specialist plays a key role in supporting Park’s mission of creating results for our customers. This role operates within a highly collaborative environment and requires a strong commitment to Park’s culture and the Egg Strategy—demonstrating Greatness in daily work, delivering Quality in every task, showing Customer Love through reliable performance, and embracing Development by learning new skills and growing in the role. Production Specialists take on the challenge of producing high‑quality Hot Melt and Solution Composite materials with accuracy, consistency, and pride. This position requires a self‑starter who is eager to learn, adaptable to new processes, and motivated to meet both company expectations and personal growth goals.

Essential Job Functions

Ensure all materials, processes, and equipment setups meet advanced technical requirements and customer specifications; proactively identify risks before they impact product quality.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues, partnering with Quality, Engineering, and Supervisors to drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor process capability trends and recommend improvements to reduce variation and scrap.
Oversee staging and verification of raw materials for upcoming production runs, ensuring alignment with the Line Schedule and anticipating future needs.
Validate resin availability, quality status, and shelf‑life compliance; escalate concerns and coordinate timely resolution.
Optimize material flow and workstation readiness to minimize downtime and support schedule attainment.
Maintain real‑time awareness of production progress, adjusting priorities and reallocating resources as needed to keep operations on track.
Identify schedule risks early and collaborate with Supervisors to develop mitigation plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance throughput, reduce scrap, and strengthen process reliability.
Perform advanced verification of machine setups, tooling, and CP traveler requirements; ensure all parameters meet engineering and quality standards.
Document discrepancies, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate with Supervisors and Engineering for resolution.
Serve as the subject‑matter resource for interpreting CP travelers and process documentation.
Conduct in‑process quality checks with heightened attention to detail and process variation.
Recognize out‑of‑specification conditions quickly and initiate containment actions to protect product integrity.
Mentor operators on quality expectations, defect recognition, and proper documentation.
Provide input to Supervisors on operator performance, skill gaps, and training needs.
Reinforce safety standards, coach employees on proper PPE and equipment use, and help investigate safety concerns.
Conduct routine safety equipment inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
Serve as the primary resource for accurate Oracle transactions, ensuring data integrity for material usage, scrap reporting, and production tracking.
Identify systemic data issues and collaborate with Supervisors to correct root causes.
Train operators on proper Oracle usage and documentation expectations.
Lead by example in maintaining 5S standards and ensuring work areas meet audit‑ready conditions.
Identify opportunities to improve workstation layout, material flow, and ergonomic safety.
Detect defective or nonconforming raw materials early and coordinate with Quality and Supervisors to quarantine and resolve issues.
Track recurring material concerns and support supplier‑related feedback loops.
Validate operator competency and provide feedback to Supervisors on readiness for independent work.
Maintain training documentation and support cross‑training initiatives to build workforce flexibility.

Education/Experience/Skills Required

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
Must be computer literate in the use of a manufacturing system similar to Oracle or Syspro along with Excel.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Problem solving is required in this position.
Decision making is required in this position.

Physical Requirements

Individual required to be sighted (can be medically corrected), with clear verbal and written communications skills. Job includes lifting of product/supplies ranging from minimal to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Individual will be required to be mobile, with bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Must be able to wear a respirator and other safety equipment as required.

Training Requirements

Training to applicable procedures that relate to area of responsibility.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
