Full Job Description

The Spectrum Marketing Companies are looking to add Assistants to its growing Bindery operation in our Print Department. The right person doesn’t need experience in the print industry; we will train enthusiastic new-comers. Excellent potential for advancement into skilled production roles in offset press, folder and bindery positions.

The successful candidate will be:

Providing physical assistance in the operation of our bindery equipment under the supervision of skilled operators on the production floor
Loading and off-loading paper stock and finished products
Packing and labeling boxes, arranging finished product cartons on skids
Moving pallets of raw materials and finished products
Maintaining a clean and safe working area (including general housekeeping)
Learning the details of running the various presses and bindery equipment in the Department
undertaking other duties as assigned

You may be the successful candidate if you have:

An eagerness to learn new skills in a fast-paced production facility
Punctual and reliable attendance
A Team Player attitude who is flexible with assigned duties
A willingness to work overtime as necessary
Pride in your work and a strong focus on customer satisfaction
An enthusiastic, positive attitude and an overall spirit of cooperation
Warehouse or pallet jack experience a plus

Physically, this job requires:

Ability to differentiate all colors
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Quick fine motor skills to manipulate paper feed and return
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
