Job Overview
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions for our clients. This role serves as the technical lead during pre-sales engagements and project discovery, translating business requirements into well-architected IT solutions.
The Solution Architect works cross-functionally with account management, sales, project services, finance, and managed services teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, operationally supportable, and aligned with both client objectives and company standards.
This individual will act as a senior technical advisor, ensuring consistency in design, documentation, and implementation standards across all client environments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Technical Strategy
o Define and maintain solution architecture standards and best practices across all service offerings.
o Provide technical leadership in evaluating new technologies, vendors, and platforms.
o Align proposed solutions with company service standards, security frameworks, and operational capabilities.
o Collaborate with leadership on service portfolio development and strategic growth initiatives.
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
o Partner with the account management and sales teams during discovery calls and client meetings to assess technical requirements and business objectives.
o Design comprehensive infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and backup solutions tailored to client needs.
o Develop Bills of Materials (BOM), scope of work (SOW), and technical documentation for proposed solutions.
o Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with budget expectations.
o Serve as a resource to the account manager to present and explain proposed architectures to clients in both technical and executive-level discussions
Project Collaboration & Implementation Support
o Serve as the technical authority during project kickoff and implementation phases.
o Provide handoff documentation and guidance to project engineers, project managers and managed services teams.
o Validate that deployed solutions align with architectural standards and approved designs.
o Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide escalation-level engineering support when necessary.
Security & Compliance Oversight
o Ensure all proposed solutions meet cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
o Incorporate security frameworks, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity into all designs.
Documentation & Standardization
o Develop and maintain architecture templates, scope templates, and technical design documentation standards.
o Create reference architectures for common client scenarios (e.g., cloud migrations, hybrid environments, security stacks).
o Maintain a centralized knowledge base of standardized solutions and approved vendor configurations.
Continuous Improvement
o Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
o Evaluate existing client environments for optimization opportunities.
o Identify opportunities to improve service delivery efficiency, automation, and scalability.
o Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
o 3-5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or managed services environments
o Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused outcomes
o Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
o ConnectWise/Mange experience
o Experience working in regulated or client-driven industries
o Familiarity with managed services or technology delivery environments
o Preferred Qualifications
o Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, networking, firewalls, virtualization, backup solutions, and cybersecurity platforms.
o Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, CCNP, etc.)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
