The Role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key leadership capacity supporting our attorneys across a variety of sophisticated litigation matters, taking on expanded responsibilities in case management, legal research, document strategy, and client relations. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside attorneys and staff who are personally invested in our clients’ success and who recognize the critical value of an experienced paralegal to our practice.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex litigation cases from inception through resolution, including file organization, discovery strategy, exhibits, and evidence management
Conduct advanced legal research and analysis; synthesize findings into comprehensive research memoranda for attorney review
Draft, proofread, format, and refine legal documents including motions, briefs, discovery responses, and memoranda
Manage document review projects, including review strategy, and coding protocols
Independently coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and clients; serve as primary point of contact for case logistics
Create and maintain detailed case timelines, deadline management systems, and calendars
Lead trial preparation efforts, including deposition summaries, exhibit organization, witness management, and courtroom materials
Train and mentor junior paralegals and administrative staff on case procedures and firm standards
Develop and maintain client-facing deliverables and status communications
Manage legal databases, research platforms, and document management systems with efficiency and proficiency
Proactively identify issues and solutions to attorneys; contribute to case strategy discussions
Perform sophisticated administrative tasks related to case management, including budgeting, timekeeping, and resource allocation
Support business development and client relations as needed

Qualifications

3–6 years of post-college professional experience in a litigation law firm or legal department; substantial paralegal or litigation support experience required
Proven expertise in legal research, including familiarity with Westlaw, or similar platforms
Advanced proficiency with document management systems, litigation support software, and case management tools
Exceptional written/verbal communication abilities, with experience drafting/editing legal documents
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and escalate issues proactively
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in all work product
Experience with discovery processes, document review, and litigation workflows
Familiarity with electronic discovery (e-discovery) tools and protocols is a plus
Commitment to professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and the highest standards of service
Alignment with the firm’s mission, values, and litigation philosophy
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certification (e.g., certified paralegal)
