Salary: $20 - 22 per hour + none

Spherion Staffing has a great new opportunity for a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk in Mankato! This is a 3-4 month assignment starting in mid-August.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their finance department and play a key role in supporting daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage crucial vendor relationships and ensure payment processes continue to run smoothly and on time.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Friday hours through Labor Day are 8:00 a.m. - noon)
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
Ensure timely payment of invoices and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
Assist with month-end activities, prepare reports, and maintain financial records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

Skills:
Experience with specific accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and vendor relationship management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and strictly meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry accuracy.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, time management, and organizational skills.
Analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
