Full Job Description

Looking to fill an immediate on-call waiver direct care position.

What Is an "On-Call" Job Position?

Definition: An "on-call" position means that while the employee isn't working a standard schedule, they are available to be contacted and work if needed. This is often used in roles where there might be irregular or unpredictable needs for work.

Key Characteristics:

Availability:
The employee must be reachable and ready to work during specific times or on short notice. This could be for emergency situations, unexpected surges in workload, or during times when regular staff are unavailable.
Flexible Scheduling:
The schedule is often flexible, but the employee must be prepared to work during their on-call hours or when called upon. The exact nature of the on-call schedule can vary widely depending on the job and industry.
Workload:
The workload can be unpredictable. Employees might be required to work very few hours in a given period or might be called upon frequently.

Schedule will be:

Monday and Tuesday - Off

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday : 5pm-7a

Saturday, Sunday: all hours

Paid a base rate of 40 hours * $12.50 whether you get called out to work a shift or not. Up to 60 hours weekly. Must be in the Fort Smith/Van Buren area in order to reach homes quickly when call outs occur.

Previous experience in this (direct support provider) or similar fields preferred.

We are looking for an individual who is dependable, responsible, a team player, flexible, and on time to assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in their home and community.

A high school diploma/GED, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and registration, auto insurance in applicant’s name, electronic device with access to the internet, and ability to perform personal care are required. Lifting may be required for specific positions. This is a safety sensitive position, meaning the potential employee is responsible for the safety of others. The successful applicant must have the ability to understand and implement written plans of care and document services provided.
