Overview

Hiring night shift 5pm-5am
Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a supportive environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a warm community atmosphere, promoting independence and dignity for those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while working in a dynamic and rewarding setting dedicated to long-term care, assisted living.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track residents’ health status
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols under supervision or as authorized by healthcare professionals
Conduct regular safety checks around the facility to ensure a clean, hazard-free environment; assist with light cleaning duties, and laundry as needed
Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure seamless communication among care team members

Qualifications

Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings is desirable but not necessary
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining residents’ dignity and independence
Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward seniors
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation is advantageous
Must be able to pass a background check
