Job Description: Clinical Medical Assistant - Urology

Overview

We are seeking a highly responsible and dedicated part-time Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to join our professional urology team. This is a 24-hour-per-week position (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) that demands exceptional organizational skills and a genuine commitment to delivering patient-focused care in a dynamic and collaborative environment. ($19.50-$21.50 per hour).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide compassionate and professional bilingual (English/Spanish) urological patient care while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.

· Assist patients with their medical needs, providing support with a patient-centered approach.

· Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including accurately recording vital signs.

· Maintain and sanitize examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for use.

· Perform tibial treatments (PTNS), cystometrogram urodynamic testing (CMG), urinalysis, semen analysis and injections in coordination with care provider.

· Support and assist provider during in-office urological procedures.

· Support clinic operations by managing patient files using the TEBRA system, ensuring proper documentation and filing of laboratory and test results.

· Assist in the preparation of charts for new and existing patients for upcoming appointments.

· Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives as required.

· Foster a positive and respectful working relationship with the physician and office staff, emphasizing teamwork and mutual support.

· Ensure strict compliance with ethical business practices and patient confidentiality standards.

· Offer support in covering for other Medical Assistants, including occasional work at our Hollister office (one day per week, only if necessary).

Professional Requirements

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player, with a professional and cooperative attitude.

· Adherence to dress code standards and a commitment to maintaining a neat and professional appearance.

· Excellent attendance.

· Ability to work overtime as necessary on Mondays.

· Completion of all annual educational and regulatory requirements.

· Possession of current CPR BLS certification.

· Medical Assistant (MA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification is required.

· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Skills and Abilities

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and superiors.

· Proficiency in basic computer skills, including the ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

· Comprehensive knowledge of medical technology, procedures, and best practices.

· Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations.

Physical/Mental Demands

Physical requirements may include repetitive motions, vision and hearing acuity, and the ability to work effectively in a clinical setting.

Application Requirements

· A current résumé and three professional references.

· Immunization records, including evidence of MMR, Hepatitis B, and Flu vaccinations.

· Current PPD documentation within the last year. (Individuals with a history of a positive PPD must provide documentation confirming they are free of active disease.)

· COVID vaccination is preferred but not required.

This is a non-benefited position. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, and the ideal candidate must demonstrate a collaborative spirit and a commitment to supporting a cohesive and efficient working environment.

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
