Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining high-quality food production. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and culinary techniques.
Manage shift schedules, assign tasks to team members, and ensure efficient workflow during busy hours.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless customer service experiences.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maintaining profitability of the kitchen operations.
Lead efforts in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members to build a skilled workforce.
Oversee catering events or banquet services as required, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services.

Experience

Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
Extensive culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management responsibilities including training & development.
Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
Strong background in food safety standards and regulations; experience with HACCP is a plus.
Prior experience in hospitality management or hotel restaurant settings is advantageous.
Experience supervising staff during shift management in diverse restaurant settings including fine dining or catering is preferred. Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
