Full Job Description

Peerless Machine and Tool, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of paper converting machinery and tooling, is looking to hire a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist will work with our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines and will be responsible for producing quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and customer standards. Must be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Responsibilities and Duties

Part setups, tool setups, operation and final inspection of parts that are manufactured
Ability to read manufacturing prints
Knowledge of G-code programming, as well as being able to troubleshoot a program and edit as needed
Ability to read micrometers, proper use of indicators, and other inspection tools
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
Experience as a CNC machine operator preferred
Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
Good computer and mathematical skills
A strong work ethic, a stable work history, solid communication skills, pleasant attitude, and a team player mentality
Knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
