Job Description

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with integrity, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and residents by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, staff, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
