Full Job Description

Job Summary-:

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a MCA Operator (Production Operator) to join our Marion, IL team. We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission.

Summary:

This is an entry level position for production; Marion is a LAP Facility – Load, Assemble and Pack. The ability to maintain a constant, quick, pace on an assembly line is required. Visual inspection skills are needed to spot imperfections in a finished, assembled, part.

Responsibilities-:

Responsibilities:

Must be able to work all shifts and overtime, as required
Package finished products and prepare for shipment.
Performs assembly line tasks in a manufacturing setting.
Ensure the production line runs smoothly and efficiently.
Inspecting assembled products to verify they meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
Inspecting product for any defects and flaws.
Previous background in assembly and pack is a plus.

Qualifications-:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Production experience (assembly and pack) is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with supervision and fellow employees
Must have the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety signs and instructions
Must be able to perform basic math
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Pre-employment background and medical screening will be required if selected for hire.
Must be able to work all shifts and overtime, as required
