About the Position
West Franklin Investments LLC is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to operate a contracted USPS mail delivery route serving the Marlow, New Hampshire area.
This is a long-term independent contractor opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing reliable service, enjoys working independently, and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism, accountability, and performance.
What You'll Do
- Sort and deliver USPS mail and packages on an assigned route.
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle.
- Work independently while following USPS delivery standards.
- Deliver mail accurately and efficiently in all weather conditions.
- Provide courteous, professional service to postal customers.
- Complete the assigned route safely and on time each day.
CompensationStarting Route Pay
- $150 per completed route day
- Paid monthly at the end of each month.
Paid Training
- $100 per training day
- Training includes ride-alongs, route familiarization, mail handling procedures, USPS requirements, and supervised route operation.
- Training is considered both instruction and an evaluation period.
- Successful completion of training does not guarantee assignment of the route.
- Contractors must demonstrate the ability to safely, accurately, independently, and efficiently perform all required duties before being assigned the route.
- Training days are compensated upon successful completion of the training period and commencement of independent route operations.
Performance-Based Advancement
Drivers who demonstrate exceptional attendance, reliability, safe driving, efficiency, professionalism, and long-term commitment are eligible for performance-based pay increases.
Additional USPS contract opportunities may also become available for dependable contractors as our company continues to grow.
Company Vehicle
A company vehicle is provided for normal route operations.
Contractors are expected to operate the company vehicle responsibly and promptly report any maintenance issues or accidents.
In the event the company vehicle becomes temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, repairs, mechanical failure, accident, or any other circumstance, the contractor must be prepared to complete the assigned route using a personally owned vehicle that meets USPS requirements until the company vehicle has been returned to service.
Applicants should therefore have access to a suitable backup vehicle if needed.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Maintain a clean driving record (no recent DUIs or reckless driving convictions).
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and good judgment.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English.
Important Position Information
- This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
- Contractors are responsible for their own federal, state, and local taxes.
- This position does not include employee benefits, overtime pay, paid holidays, paid vacation, or unemployment benefits.
- Availability is required Monday through Saturday beginning at 7:30 AM.
- USPS background investigation, fingerprinting, and drug screening are required before beginning work.
- Prior delivery experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right individual.
- Because USPS mail service is time-sensitive, dependable attendance is an essential requirement of this position. Contractors are expected to report for their assigned route each scheduled service day or arrange approved coverage in accordance with company procedures.
